Mr Bhamra
Mr Bhamra is Jess’ Dad and is married to Mrs Bhamra. He is a very Traditional and strict but later in the movie you see his soft side when he persuades Mrs Bharma to let Jess play football in America. He is a Sikh, wears a turban and has a beard. He values people following tradition and doing what is expected of them but at the end of the movie his views begin to change. He holds on to his past experiences both good and bad and lets them influence his decisions over what others should do. When he was a teenager he got kicked out of his cricket team because he was Indian and was teased about his turban and accent. He works everyday doing some sort of security job. At Pinkie’s wedding he lets Jess go with Tony to play in the soccer final and also comes and watches her play.
